The Code of Conduct of the CCAA Sociedade de Advogados, SP, RL (CCAA) has in mind a set of principles and ethical values that should be adopted in the internal and external performance of its professionals.
These rules of conduct shall apply to partners, associates and employees in all situations concerning the company.
The CCAA team shall be guided by compliance with the following principles:
• Good repute and integrity;
• Equality before the law;
• Dignity of the human being;
• Exercise of professional activity with courtesy and efficiency;
• Loyalty in market competition, through honest and fair relationships;
• Conduct compatible with the constitutional principles, with the precepts of the current legislation, the internal rules and regulations, and the provisions of this Code.
In addition to the general principles, the professionals of the CCAA shall also comply with the following ethical principles:
• Duty of professional competence;
• Independence;
• Absence of conflict of interests;
• Spirit of mutual collaboration;
• Confidentiality;
• Transparency;
• Commitment to copyright.
All member organizations of the CCAA, and in the exercise of their professional activities, in the relationship with public organizations, shall act in a transparent way, in order to always observe the applicable legislation and the ethical principles established in this Code of Conduct.
The CCAA is committed to keep the quality of its hiring and partnerships. In this sense, the realization of partnerships or hiring of suppliers and collaborators is conditioned to those that act with ethical standards and values compatible with those of the society.
Starting from the assumption that competition should be fair, based on ethical principles and in accordance with the applicable legislation, the professionals of the CCAA should, in any situation, maintain respect towards societies, professionals and companies that provide similar services to those provided by them.
The application of this Code of Conduct will be carried out in strict compliance with the applicable legislation concerning the combating against corruption.
In this regard, the following conducts are prohibited:
a) Giving or offering, directly or indirectly, any undue advantage to a public official or to a third party to obtain any type of undue benefit for oneself, for the firm or for clients;
b) Giving or offering any facilitation to public agents trying at accelerating, delaying or favoring procedures;
c) Intermediating the payment of values or undue advantages, including those related to clients, to public agents or persons related to them.
The rules laid down in this Code shall be brought to the attention of all professionals of the CCAA.
Any resulting reports or complaints regarding non-compliance with the rules of conduct established in this Code shall be addressed to any of the partners of the Company, who shall be responsible for ascertaining the situation reported and, in cooperation with the other partners, shall apply the appropriate penalties.
